You have two options when choosing which type of exam to sit. You can chose a web-based exam - this exam takes one - two weeks to order. Or you can take a paper-based exam - this exam will take approximately three weeks to order.
* In order to be able to sit exams in the comfort of your own office, you will need to appoint a manager/supervisor/colleague in your workplace to become your supervisor - the supervisor is simply a person who will invigilate the exam. As per GCI regulations it is important that this person does not have a vested interest in the student passing the exam/s, and may not be a family member (share the same surname).
* Once you have nominated a supervisor, you will need to send that person’s name and email address to the exam coordinator at The Art of Service. The exam coordinator will then contact that person directly asking them to fill out a few forms. The supervisor then emails the exam coordinator back the forms and The Art of Service contacts the examining body to get them formally accredited (this process is very quick and takes maximum of 4 days to complete).
* Once the supervisor has been formally accredited then it is a simple matter of getting them to formally order the exam. The supervisor fills out a form stating where the student will be sitting the exam, what exam they will be sitting, what time the exam will be taking place at and the contact details of the supervisor. This is then emailed back to the exam coordinator and they do the rest! The exam is then emailed to the Supervisor a few days before the exam takes place. With web-based exams - students receive their results as soon as they have finished the exam. Paper based exams need to be sent for marking and this process can take up to 2 weeks from receipt (but is normally a lot quicker).
If you chose to sit the exam in a testing centre The Art of Service can help you arrange this. However, you can book the exam directly with a testing centre, which may be cheaper than going through The Art of Service, as you do not have to pay the admininstration fees.
What happens if you buy an exam 'voucher' From The Art of Service store?
Our examination team will contact you by email to discuss the type of exam you wish to sit (online or paper-based exam, or computer-based at a testing centre).
