There are no pre-requisites for the Foundation program but a basic IT literacy and knowledge of IT services is desirable. Candidates must supply identification confirmation at the time of course registration as this is a pre-requisite of the governing body AXELOS. As we are an accredited training organisation you can be confident you are receiving the most up to date content on the market. 

Contact Hours:

The recommended minimum contact hours for the eLearning course is 18 but the benefit of eLearning is that you can move at a pace that best suits you. Our different access options allow you to tailor the learning experience to your learning needs.

The program combines short presentations supported by accredited trainer audio.  There are also quizzes and exercises (marking scheme provided) to ensure learners are testing their knowledge and competency to enhance understanding of key concepts. Revision questions, study book, and a mock examination help to prepare for the multiple-choice AXELOS® examination. Our blended form of delivery makes sure that every student is able to study in a way that suits and benefits them. 


About the Examination:

  • It is recommended that students should complete at least 18 hours of personal study by reviewing the syllabus and the ITIL Foundation book in preparation for the examination.
  • The syllabus can be downloaded from your course
  • The exam is a closed book exam with forty (40) multiple choice questions.
  • Exam duration is a maximum of 60 minutes for all candidates unless otherwise specified
  • Pass score is 26/40 or 65%

    Use These Resourses!!

    I have recently purchased the ITIL Foundation resources from The Art of Service. The resources consist of online video trraining and presentations, online study guide, online practice tests and a superb study guide.

    The online transaction was really simple and secure. As soon as the transaction was authorised I had access to the study resources. Having worked in IT for many years and studied for many courses I rate The Art of Service resources very highly and realistically affordable. I live in the UK and the Study Guide was delivered within a few days, which I was extremely impressed with.

    I have my exam booked and I have already started to implement the ITIL framework into our ICT Strategy in our workplace.

    I will definitly use The Art of Service resources for my further ITIL studies and then it will be all go for Prince2!!

    The most comprehensive, memory retention facilitating product for ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

    There are lots of on-line courses and UTUBE videos on the market today that provide the ITIL v3 Foundation information, however in using some of them I have found the data difficult to consume and retain until getting the Art of Service 'ITIL Foundation Complete Certification Kit'. It's a lot of data and terminology with numerous acronyms and specific definitions that we need to consume. The illustrated collections of content, and very clearly articulated on-line videos that the Art of Science team provides, create vivid mental images that are simply easy to recall. The day after completing the on-line course and reading the outstanding course manual and supporting references I had the confidence to walk and take my test. It only took me 35 minutes to take the test and score 87%. I would recommend this course for anyone that plans to, or is participating in the IT Services Industry. The discipline of ITIL and the structure of the Art of Science Course will serve you well in any IT service role.

    The tool combined with the online course and quizzes completely prepared me to take and pass the certification exam. If you haven't worked with ITIL before it can be a challenge to wrap your mind around it particularly the terminology. The book and online course complemented each other remarkably and I felt that I really grasped the subject matter thoroughly and quickly. Lastly the sample test was also really valuable.

    ITIL Foundation Certification

    I've had a chance to review the ITIL Certification track provided through the Art of Service. Working in the IT industry for 9 years ITIL is a relatively new concept to me. After researching many certification products I've found the material and study course through The Art of Serive to be top-notch. The instructor led web based material in combination with the workbook has been extremely useful. The material is broken down into several modules which can be easisly reviewed at any time. I would recommend this product to anyone new to the ITIL concept.

    Study at your own pace without breaking the bank

    Increasingly IT job adverts specifiy the ITIL Foundation qualification as a requirement and this seemed to me to be the most cost-effective and flexible way to achieve the qualification. I have not yet studied the whole course however I find the online approach with forums quizzes and 'lessons' very helpful backed up by the study guide book. I find it useful to have a deadline by which my online enrolment will cease as this focuses my study towards sitting the exam; however it also allows me to arrange the exam at a time convenient to me - especially important as I am going to have to travel 100s of miles to a test centre. Obviously the proof will be in the pudding (or the exam result) but definitely so far so good.

    The book and other materials provided with the Kit were excellent in preparing for the ITIL exam quickly. I do believe my success in passing the ITIL test is a direct result of using these materials and Kits' practice exercises. My 30 years in the IT Industry almost gave me too much knowledge. I found other books reference materials and peer information while clearly valuable where not as focused and structured as ITIL Foundation Complete Certification Kit materials.

The content in the book combined with the on-line learning programme ensures that whatever your preferred learning method is this kit has got you covered.     Having been involved in Service Management for many years ITIL basically brings what we have been doing into an ordered process that is measurable.This book and the associated on-line course is a great way of getting into the first levels and makes it all very clear and easy to follow.An excellent package through and through. A must for all to try.
