What is ITIL®

ITIL is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. ITIL can help individuals and organizations use IT to realize business change, transformation and growth.

ITIL was created by experts who incorporated the learning experiences and practices of leading organizations, ‘best-in-class’ practitioners and IT service providers from around the world. Since its introduction in the early 1990s, ITIL has proved itself through the positive impact it has brought to businesses that adopt its practices.

The Qualification Scheme

The ITIL Qualifications scheme provides a modular approach to the ITIL framework, and is comprised of a series of qualifications focused on different aspects of ITIL Best Practice, to various degrees of depth and detail.
